Welcoming Letter

Dear Visitor,

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the official website of the Conservation of Medicinal and Herbal Plants of Jordan.

This project is the first national initiative in Jordan aimed at improving the medicinal and herbal plants sector in Jordan to benefit rural communities in all regions. The Project is implemented with the support of the Global Environment Facility and the World Bank. It is executed by key partners including government agencies, NGOs, private sector, universities as well as local organisation in rural areas.

This web page is intended to be a window for all concerned parties to share information and to maximise benefits in this field.

It is intended for many different kinds of users:

  • Researchers, farmers and producers who are interested to know more information about the promising medicinal, herbal and aromatic plants in Jordan

  • Readers who have come to know more about the project and its activities, and wish to expand their knowledge about the sector of medicinal and herbal plants in Jordan.

  • Scholars seeking data about this sector through the website's growing data about medicinal and herbal plants that will be found via NCARTT and JEPA websites in near future.

  •  School students approaching medicinal and herbal plants for the first time.

This is a growing site, and we welcome any suggestions. Please feel free to share us your ideas and comments

                                                             Sincerely,

                                                            Omar Al-Rafie
